Life Enrichment Exposition coming April 22 at Basketball HOF

More than 60 exhibitors will be available to answer questions and cater to mature adults at the 19th Annual Life Enrichment Expo at the Basketball Hall of Fame, Thursday, April 22, 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. The annual Life Enrichment Expo is the original major event of its kind for those aged 50 and older. Get information about healthcare providers, housing options, volunteer opportunities, financial planning, home adaptations, fashion advice, entertainment opportunities, and more. One featured exhibitor at this year's Life Enrichment Expo is Noble Visiting Nurse and Hospice Services, which uses a team-oriented approach to expert medical care, pain management, emotional and spiritual support that meets each patient's needs. Hospice care misconceptions There are several misconceptions about hospice care, one being that it is only for cancer care. This is not true. Hospice care expands to people with life-limiting conditions such as heart disease, lung and pulmonary disease, stroke/coma, kidney/renal disease, liver disease, HIV, ALS, and overall decline in health status. "Hospice is not about giving up on life but maximizing the quality of life, especially for those moments yet to be shared. Our staff not only focus on the patient but we believe that their loved ones should receive the necessary support to experience and grieve the loss of their loved ones" says David M. Mol, Executive Director. The staff at Noble Visiting Nurse and Hospice Services focuses on the belief that every person has the right to die pain-free and with dignity. It provides supportive services that help provide comfort care to patients and offer emotional support for family members. Admission to the Life Enrichment Expo is free. There will be plenty of free on-site parking and all the exhibits are handicapped accessible. The Life Enrichment Expo is presented by Health New England and is sponsored by PRIME magazine / Reminder Publications and by the Springfield Jewish Community Center (where all, including the general community, are welcome). Noble Visiting Nurse and Hospice Services is a platinum sponsor; NovaCare Rehabilitation and PeoplesBank are gold sponsors; and CBS TV 3 is a media sponsor.
