PRIME – June 2014 LAKES REGION, N.H. – It's hard to stay hungry while traveling through the Lakes Region with the wide variety of cuisine and impressive number of eateries! There are so many dining options in the New Hampshire Lakes Region, from old-time diners to high-end restaurants, visitors are sure to find a number of appetizing choices on their getaways. Tilton's Tilt'n Diner (61 Laconia Road, menu at www.thecman.com) is a great first stop when visiting the Lakes Region of New Hampshire. Located right next to the visitor center, the Tilt'n Diner serves everyone's favorites in a 50s-style restaurant. Similarly, the Paugus Bay Diner in Laconia and Route 104 Diner in Meredith transport their visitors and entertains them with summertime cruise nights, a popular afternoon event in the Lakes Region. Laconia's 405 Pub & Grill ( 405 Union Ave, Laconia, N.H.) offers lunch and dinner every day of the year featuring great American and pub fare. Visitors who are looking for fresh local ingredients and a meal that will please everyone should stop by this establishment. If you're looking for an authentic pub feel, visit Patrick's Pub & Eatery in Gilford (18 Weirs Rd, Gilford, N.H., www.patrickspub.com ) where they offer great food and fun with a true Irish flair! If you're looking for a beach atmosphere, visit the Blue Bistro at The NASWA Resort (1086 Weirs Blvd., menu at www.naswa.com/BlueBistro.htm ) where diners can enjoy the lake from their tables while being served brilliantly crafted cuisine or visit the NazBar & Grill, right on the water with free www.naswa.com/BlueBistro.htm space for those traveling by boat. Cactus Jack's Grill & Watering Hole (1182 Union Ave. www.t-bones.com) is another great option in Laconia, featuring a lively and authentic southwestern atmosphere with mouthwatering baby back ribs or Phantom Gourmet approved crispy haddock tacos, or go upstairs and try T-BONES. Visit Shibley's on the Pier (Route 11 42 Mt. Major Highway, www.shibleysatthepier.com) in Alton Bay and The Town Docks (289 Daniel Webster Highway, menu at www.thecman.com ) in Meredith to dine dockside and enjoy great food and drinks while watching the action on the lake.
