A holiday thank you

A holiday thank you deb-gardner-0812.jpg

This is the 17th holiday edition of Prime I’ve had the privilege to edit, and as we all get ready for the hustle and bustle of the weeks ahead, I want to take a moment to thank you, our loyal readers, for picking up this issue once again, and for making Prime a part of your life every month.

We live in an increasingly busy and digitally connected world, and making the time to pick up and read a product like ours represents intention and a time commitment.

Those of us who work to bring you the stories and articles in this publication every month are very much aware of the other things that compete for your time and attention.

Your decision to read Prime this month – and any month –  is a gift we do not take lightly.

I would be remiss if I didn’t take a moment here to thank and acknowledge all the others who help me bring Prime to you every month. I couldn’t put each issue together without the expertise and contributions from my many longtime columnists  – Gina Barry for legal and financial matters, Jonathan Evans for alternative medicine, Gary Kaye for all things tech and digital, and beginning this year, my managing editor G. Michael Dobbs for his take on life as a boomer.

I have many behind-the scenes people to thank as well, including Reminder Publications Graphic Design Manager Beth Thurber, who makes certain we put out a beautiful product every month, and longtime graphic designer Liz O’Donoghue, whose hard work you see on most of the pages this month. I’d also like to thank newcomer Susan Bartlett and longtime designer Leigh Catchepaugh, whose graphic design skills are reflected in many of the advertisements you see throughout every issue. Leigh gets double thanks from me, for also making certain you can always find the latest stories and information at www.Primeonthe web, our companion website.

As we are a free product, I couldn’t bring you any of these stories without the hard work of Reminder Publications sales department, beginning with Prime’s longtime Sales Manager Terry O’Donnell. Ad sales by Scott Greene, Nancy Holloway, Paula Dimauro, Matt Mahaney, telesales support by Darcy Durfee and ad proofreading by Carolyn Napolitan are also crucial to getting this product to you every month.

While I’m talking about sales, I’d like to thank the many advertisers who support Prime’s message and mission every month. When you patronize one of these advertisers, please mention that you saw their ad in our publication.

Lastly, Prime wouldn’t exist without the support of Reminder Publications two co-publishers, Chris and Dan Buendo. Thank you for believing in this publication.

To all of them, and all of you, warm wishes for the happiest of holidays.

Thanks for reading,

Debbie Gardner
