Charlie is looking for a special “hero” adopter. He can join a home with a friendly resident cat or be adopted alongside his buddy Spencer. These shy “house spirit” cats prefer to not be handled, but they coexist peacefully and can be comforting companions in their own subtle way. Hoarder cats like Charlie are very reserved with people and may spend much of their time out of sight. With patience, they may choose to be near you—or even share your bed—but that may take time. They will most likely get used to one or two people who will be allowed to touch them. They are a great choice for patient, kind people with a calm, quiet household, who want to make a difference for a cat who asks for very little – and they’re a fine choice for situations where you don't have a lot of time to devote to a pet.
